Only Fools and Horses
Only Fools and Horses is a British television sitcom created by John Sullivan and written by him. From 1981 to 1991, seven seasons were shown on BBC One in the United Kingdom, with sixteen sporadic Christmas specials airing until the show ended in 2003. Classic comedy following the misadventures of two rogue traders Del and Rodney Trotter, two brothers from London's rough Peckham estate as they wheel and deal through a number of dodgy deals and search for the big score that'll make them millionaires.
The show did not start off well with viewers and had little promotion at first, but it eventually grew in popularity and the 1996 episode "Time on Our Hands" (previously described as the final episode) retains the record for the greatest UK audience for a sitcom episode, with 24.3 million people. The series had an impact on British culture, and various terms and phrases were introduced into the English language as a result of it. It inspired a plethora of goods, including books, movies, DVDs, toys, and board games, among other things.
