Ovo-vegetarian diet
The "ovo" prefix indicates an ovo-vegetarian diet, which excludes dairy products but includes eggs. In addition to meat and fish, an ovo-vegetarian diet eliminates all dairy products and foods made with them, including cow's milk, cheese, butter, sour cream, yogurt, and ice cream.
Whole eggs are a great addition to almost any diet because they are both inexpensive and nutritious. They are a great source of B vitamins, anti-inflammatory substances, and high-quality protein. In fact, if they are having trouble getting all the nutrients they require from a purely vegan diet, some people decide to include eggs in an otherwise animal-free diet. An ovo-vegetarian would eat eggs and egg dishes such as omelets, hard-boiled eggs, and scrambled eggs. Additionally, they could add eggs to baked goods like muffins, cakes, and bread.
