Paris Sciences et Lettres University
PSL University is a public research university located in Paris, France. It was established as a university in 2019 after being founded in 2010. It is a collegiate university with eleven constituent schools. PSL is headquartered in central Paris, with offices in the Latin Quarter, the Jourdan campus, the Porte Dauphine in northern Paris, and Carré Richelieu. PSL awards Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctorate degrees on behalf of its constituent schools and institutes. It offers a research-based education with interdisciplinary instruction to its 17,000 students, who can choose from a variety of disciplines in science, engineering, humanities, social sciences, fine arts, and performing arts.
The Sciences et Lettres University of Paris is France's best university for international students. The union of five institutions, including a normal school, an engineering institute, and an observatory, resulted in its formation. PSL is ranked among the top universities in the world in Mathematics, Physics, and Ecology. The university has produced notable thinkers over the years, including Louis Pasteur, Jean-Paul Sartre, Jacques Derrida, and Michel Foucault. Since then, the university has established close ties with international institutions such as Cambridge, Berkeley, and New York University, to name a few.
