Universite Grenoble Alpes
The Université Grenoble Alpes was founded in 1339. This university is France's third largest. There are approximately 45,000 students and 3,000 researchers at the university. The University of Grenoble was divided into three separate universities in 1971. The three heirs are Joseph Fourier University, Pierre Mendes France University, and Stendhal University. With numerous facilities, the University is one of Europe's largest scientific centers. The University collaborates closely with the CNRS and the CEA.
UGA is well-known for its research and education in the natural sciences and engineering, but it also has a strong presence in law, institutional economics, linguistics, and psychology. It has been named one of Europe's best and most innovative universities. It is also well-known for its academic research in the humanities and political sciences, with some of France's largest research centers in fields such as political science, urban planning, and organizational sociology.
