Pemba Island
Pemba Island is yet another fantastic dive spot in Mozambique and a favorite of many divers. The coral reefs that remain untouched and in pristine condition are what distinguish Mozambique's dive sites. The island of Pemba is no exception. Many dive sites on Pemba Island will appeal to both beginners and more experienced divers. The Farol ledge, in particular, is designed for advanced divers and descends to a depth of 30 meters. They can swim with coral fish and snowflake soapfish here.
Another dive site for experienced divers is the penguin shoal. Divers can see beautiful coral forests and the diverse marine life that calls this place home at a depth of around 30 meters. A playground with a depth of 12 meters is available for beginner divers. When the conditions are right, however, diving here is recommended. There is an abundance of marine life to be seen. The gap reef dive is located south of Pemba Island. However, with a continental shelf that sinks between 15 and 100 meters, this is a dive for experienced divers only.
