Pha Suam Waterfall
The Pha Suam waterfall, which is 33 kilometers north of Pakse in the Bachieng District, got its name from its shape, which resembles a rectangular chamber; "suam" literally translates to "room" in Lao. The Houay Champee River, which flows year-round and crosses the Bolaven Plateau from the north, creates the falls, which are around 6 meters high.
The allure of this waterfall makes it an excellent place to while away a peaceful afternoon with a picnic or a meal at the resort's nearby restaurant, Uttiyan Bachieng. Additionally, you can spend the night in one of the resort's distinctive tree-top bungalows or with a family in a nearby Lavae ethnic village.
A short distance from the tiny bamboo suspension bridge is this magnificent U-shaped fall that resembles a huge water bowl. While you take in the surrounding splendor, you can cool off in the large rock pool at the bottom. It is advised to go to the neighboring model Lavae village.
