Port Dar Es Salaam
The Port of Mombasa is the gateway to East and Central Africa and is one of the busiest ports on the East African coast. The port is directly connected to more than 80 ports around the world and is connected by road to vast interior areas including Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, Northern Tanzania, South Sudan, Somalia, and Ethiopia. There is also a rail route from the port. to Uganda and Tanzania.
Dar es Salaam Port is the main port serving Tanzania. The port is one of three ports in the country and handles more than 90% of the country's freight transport. According to the International Association of Ports and Harbors, it is the fourth-largest port on the African continent on the Indian Ocean coast after Durban, Mombasa and Maputo.
