Port Kenya Mombasa
As one of the most influential African cities, Kenya is known for its excellent import and export business through the port of Mombasa. Mombasa is a common port for Uganda, Burundi, Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Built in 1980, the port today is heavily trafficked.
Specifically, the Port of Mombasa is the gateway to East and Central Africa and is one of the busiest ports on the East African coast. The port is directly connected to more than 80 ports worldwide and is connected by road to a vast hinterland including Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, Northern Tanzania, South Sudan, Somalia and Ethiopia. There is also a rail route from the port. to Uganda and Tanzania.
