Port of Richards Bay
Port Richards Bay is one of the largest ports in the entire world and is around 40 years old! It is the leading coal export terminal internationally and is located quite close to the Durban port. The area used to be a small fishing village and was made into an industrial city. It was then further enriched by the construction of this gorgeous port.
The Port of Richards Bay is located in Richards Bay harbor on the Indian Ocean coast of South Africa and contains the Richards Bay Coal Terminal (RBCT) which is the largest coal export facility in Africa. The port was originally built to export coal, but is now South Africa's premier bulk port, handling non-coal bulk cargoes and liquid and dry bulk cargoes. It is also the most modern port in South Africa.
