Port Durban
Durban is the busiest port in Africa. Durban is one of the largest cargo ports in South Africa with at least 59 berths. To this day, the port continues to expand and develop new directions.
Durban Port handles the largest sea traffic of all ports in South Africa. During 2015 ending December 31, 2015, the Port of Durban handled a total of 3,875 vessels with a gross tonnage of 136,539,949 tonnes, or approximately 35% of all vessels calling at all ports in South Africa in gross tonnage.
Durban is connected to important industrial areas. There are two floating ducks, one of which is controlled by the NNA. The port is used by more than 880 vessels per month, and this number is growing every year.
