Port of Adelaide
Adelaide Harbor is the Adelaide Harbor area about 14 kilometers northwest of Adelaide CBD. It is also named after the Municipality of Anfield in the City of Port Adelaide, its suburb, federal and state constituencies, and the main port of the City of Adelaide. The Port of Adelaide played an important role during the early decades of Adelaide and South Australia, where the port was a major source of supply and a means of communication with the rest of the world.
Port of Adelaide is responsible for most port activity in the region. Founded in 1836, the Port of Adelaide is considered Australia's first settlement and now handles over 100 million tonnes of different types of cargo and marine cruises for tourists.
