Port of Sydney

Located in Botany Bay in Sydney, Sydney Harbor is actually called Botanical Harbor and is the second-largest container port in Australia. the port is dominated by trade in containerized manufactured products and, to a lesser extent, bulk liquid imports including petroleum and natural gas.


Sydney Harbor is one of Australia's largest container ports and is administered by NSW Ports which entered into a 99-year lease agreement with the Port Authority of New South Wales in May 2013.In the 1960s, the port was originally located in Sydney Harbor. Over time, freight volumes of solid and liquid cargo increased, leading to the construction of several ports, including the Botanical Port, in 1971.
