Praia do Forno

Forno Beach is one of the Buzios Peninsula's most beautiful beaches. It's on a secluded bay near the namesake resort town on the island's northeastern fringes. The distinctive pink-red hue of sand combined with the prevalence of minerals with a high iron concentration gave this Brazilian beach its name. The beach is sometimes referred to as Martian because of its unique scenery.

Forno's seashore is notable for its semicircular form and short length (about 500 m). However, it is particularly popular with tourists due to its colorful scenery and crystal clear waters, as well as its easy accessibility.

The beach is bordered by magnificent rocks that stand out against the peculiar sand color and bright turquoise waters. The cliffs provide shelter in the afternoon, but it is difficult to find a secluded spot to escape the heat during the day.

Walking along the steep cliffs of the shore, you may see the beach's extraordinarily clear waters, which are perfect for snorkeling and starfish observation. Keep in mind that rocks near the sea can be quite slick, posing a significant risk of slipping. When swimming here, you need to wear rubber slippers because there are a lot of anemones on the bottom of the sea.
