Reaper

Sam Oliver, a "reaper" who realizes on his 21st birthday that his parents had sold his soul to the devil before he was born and that he must now work as a bounty hunter for the devil until he dies. Reaper has been likened to the NBC spy comedy Chuck, which follows another seemingly ordinary post-adolescent "big box" shop clerk (in Chuck's case, a "Buy More") who also has a hidden double-life seeking to rescue the world.

From September 25, 2007, through May 26, 2009, the series aired on The CW. The CW's Reaper, which was produced by ABC Studios and The Mark Gordon Company, aired on Tuesday nights at 8:00 p.m. Eastern/7:00 p.m. Central. The show's rights, however, have been licensed to Fox for airing in Asia. According to Metacritic, the series has received "universal acclaim," with a rating of 81 out of 100 based on 27 reviews.
