The Umbrella Academy

The Umbrella Academy is an American superhero streaming television series based on the same-named Gerard Way comic book series. It revolves around a dysfunctional family of adopted sibling superheroes who gather to uncover the mystery of their father's death and the threat of an impending disaster. Borderline Entertainment, Dark Horse Entertainment, and Universal Cable Productions are the producers of the show.

On February 15, 2019, Netflix premiered the first season. In April 2019, Netflix announced that 45 million households had watched season one in its first month, making it one of the year's most popular series. Following the first season's popularity, the series was renewed for a second season, which premiere on July 31, 2020. The series got renewed for a third season in November 2020, with a release date of 2022.
