Rolex Festival
The Rolex Festival is an annual event in Uganda that honors the country's most popular dish, the Rolex. The Festival creates around 79 original Ugandan Rolex dishes with chefs from all over the country to present attendees with an unforgettable experience. The festival began as a way to honor Ugandan cuisine and innovation. The festival was first held in Uganda in 2016 and was a huge success.
Rolex is nothing more than a combination of chapatti and eggs, but CNN just named it Uganda's fastest-growing cuisine. This explains why the Rolex Festival is one of Uganda's most popular events. Organized by Rolex Initiative Uganda, this event brings together uptown restaurants to showcase the different styles of preparing a Rolex, this is usually accompanied by entertainment, and games among others.
