Rose Bakery
A sophisticated English café serving high-quality brunch, lunch, and cakes is called Rose Bakery. This French-British couple's English café is unique since all of its components are organic or come from small farmers. The homemade salad plate is satisfyingly crunchy, while thin-crust pizzas, regular soups, and sporadic risottos are also excellent options. For a selection of their too-good-to-be-true desserts, such as their delicious rose and lemon cake, gluten-free lemon polenta cake, sticky toffee pudding, and daily-changing flavors like beetroot or walnut, come in the early to late afternoon.
Except on weekends, when brunch is served to a packed house (come prepared with patience; it's busy), don't expect much more than scones in the morning. Although it may be on the expensive side, you pay for quality and atmosphere; the cozy, minimalist dining area draws customers in long after the meal is over. You can fill up on the wonderful stuff without having to wait because they also manage a takeout restaurant right next door and a farm shop/grocery store on the adjoining rue de Navarin.
