Saint John
Saint John is a Caribbean Sea Virgin Island and a constituent district of the United States Virgin Islands, an unincorporated territory of the United States. Since 1956, the United States National Park Service has protected approximately 60% of the island as Virgin Islands National Park. The economy is primarily based on tourism and related trade. There are hundreds of rental villas on the island, as well as hotels and resorts. Cruz Bay and Coral Bay have a plethora of shops and restaurants that cater to both residents and tourists.
Saint John is also the capital of Antigua and Barbuda and one of the most developed cities on the island, with museums, shopping, historic sites, gaming, beaches, and fine dining. Here, you can visit the Museum of Antigua and Barbuda, St. John's Cathedral, or nearby Fort James to explore historic sites and learn about the town's history. You can visit the Heritage Quay shopping district, where you can find souvenirs, jewelry, and locally made liquors. Of course, you can also visit the pristine beaches. In the evenings, you can walk along the beaches for spectacular sunset views and delicious dining. Conch, salt fish, local beers, and rum are among the delicacies.
