Serene
Serene is one of the largest private superyachts and one of the most expensive yachts in the world.
Serene was delivered to her owner in August 2011 by the Italian shipyard Fincantieri, with interior design by Reymond Langton Design. She was one of the ten largest yachts in the world when she was delivered, with an overall length of 133.9 meters and a beam of 18.5 meters.
Serene ran aground in the Red Sea in August 2017, 37 kilometers off the coast of Sharm El Sheik. Her hull suffered considerable damage near the bow. A mix of navigational errors and propulsion failure was reported as the cause. The $300 million ship was built for Russian vodka entrepreneur Yuri Shefler. Bill Gates hired the yacht for $5 million per week in the summer of 2014. Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia purchased the vessel for around €500 million in 2015 while on holiday in the south of France.
Price: $300 Million
