Sesimbra
Sesimbra ranks 2nd on the list of the best dive sites in Portugal. It is a tiny seaside village in the municipality of Sesimbra, renowned for being a popular scuba diving destination. Sesimbra is a marine protected area with a diverse array of Mediterranean fish, starfish, and sea urchins. Cavities, holes, fissures, platforms, and remarkable topography abound on the reefs near Sesimbra.
At the harbor, you can find different dive shops where you can register for a dive and get your scuba tank, scuba fins, scuba BCDs, and wetsuits, among other essentials that you will need for your diving adventure. In about 40 minutes, you will be ready to dive into Sesimbra! The dive depths will vary depending on the location. At Mar da Pedra, the average depth is 12 meters. If you are looking for something deeper, on the other hand, make sure to check out Cape Espichel, which can reach a depth of up to 40 meters. As for the temperature of the water, it is 12 to 16 degrees Celsius in the winter and 16 to 22 degrees in the summer.
