Two Anchors
Two Anchors is one of the best dive sites in Portugal. As the name suggests, this dive site is home to two large ancient anchors, which are the main attraction. However, this site also has a large wall covered in spaces between the rocks where you’ll find large Conger Eels hiding out as well as spectacularly colored crabs and Octopi. This dive site is located off the coast of Albufeira and is suitable for all levels of divers.
Two Anchors (anchoras) have been a traditional anchoring spot off the Algarve coast for centuries, and they have left their mark on the sea bottom. There are some large anchors here that have been lost by ships over the years. Most notably a fish located at the high point of the site, here you can often find storks guarding it. The area itself is a wall with many tubes, caves to swim through, and protruding, often you can find octopuses and conga eels peaking in the dark.
Location: Algarve, Portugal.
