Shebenik

Shebenik Mountain is the highest mountain in the Shebenik-Jabllanice National Park on the road Librazhd -Qarrishte. It is located at an elevation of 7391 feet (2,253 meters) and contains fourteen glacial lakes and three artificial lakes. The peak of Shebenik is the crown jewel of the Shebenik-Jabllanic National Park in eastern Albania. This 33,927-hectare national park contains the world-famous Rrajca forests, a UNESCO-protected natural treasure.

Hikers can start their climb in the village of Hotolisht. The trek is one of the most scenic in the country, especially in the spring and summer. Climbers must cover a long linear distance of about 22 km (13.7 miles) through dense beech forests, numerous mountain creeks, and illustrious scenery to reach the summit. Climbers must be physically fitter than the average person and bring enough water and food. Because of the inclement weather, windproof and waterproof warm clothing is advised.
