Sipi Falls
Sitting on the edge of Mount Elgon, with distant views of Karamoja, this is the place to relax. Away from the main tourist circuit, Sipi Falls is a beautiful landmark in Uganda's rugged east. Sipi Falls consists of three waterfalls, found in the village of Sipi, in the Kapchorwa district of eastern Uganda, just over a 4-hour drive from Kampala. The climate is cooler than most of the country, and although the weather tends to be pleasant year-round, the best times to visit are during the dry season from June to August and December to March. Sipi Falls is known for producing organic arabica coffee. Since 1999, the Sabiny and Bagishu people have grown coffee on the slopes of Mount Elgon.
Sipi Falls is Uganda's most beautiful waterfall. The origin of these falls is Mount Elgon. Wherever visitors look at Sipi waterfall, visitors must be in awe of its beauty. In addition to enjoying the beautiful scenery, visitors can take a stroll around the falls or further to the foothills of Mt Elgon. This offers visitors the opportunity to climb and circumnavigate the falls for both experienced and inexperienced, thus making Sipi Falls well worth a visit. The falls are breathtaking and the views of Mt Elgon above them, as well as the vast plains to the east and north of Uganda disappearing into the void below, are amazing. Sipi River Lodge's on-site birdwatching and mountain biking are fun outdoor activities. Sipi Falls became one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Uganda.
