Sosua
Long ago before the Dominican Republic became a popular vacation destination, its president provided 100,000 Jewish refugees safe sanctuary in 1938. Around 800 people arrived in Sosua, where they were given land to construct a dairy and cheese business.
Today, you may eat items made by Productos Sosua. Sosua is a popular diving location for divers who enjoy the quiet waters, reef structures, and variety of species they may observe. Sosua is still a site where nature creates beaches, some naturally and others as a result of storms. Sosua is a normal beach resort by day and a party animal's paradise at night.
