Spider-Man: Miles Morales
Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales shares the same fundamental gameplay as its predecessor. It has the same open world, a fictionalized depiction of modern-day Manhattan that is coated in snow due to the game's winter setting. Miles operates nearly identically to Peter Parker, but with unique movements and skills that become available as the game develops. The new abilities include Venom Blast, which lets the player use bio-electricity to incapacitate foes and charge or drain electronics; Camouflage, which grants Miles temporary invisibility; and Mega Venom Blast, which is a large explosion of bio-electricity that destroys all adjacent enemies.
The game also includes new devices such as Remote Mines, which may be attached to foes or electrical panels, a device that summons hologram combatants to assist in combat, and Gravity Wells, which traps numerous adversaries and make them easier to attack. Miles' powers and gadgets may be enhanced as the player progresses through the game. Miles, like Peter, has a "spider-sense", which informs the player of approaching assaults and lets them evade and react, as well as web-shooters, which fire lines of webs that may be employed in a variety of ways during both traversal and battle. Miles can also leap, adhere to surfaces, and travel quickly on the New York City Subway. Side quests have been considerably changed and are now accessible via an in-game phone app.
