Sri Dharma Mittra
Dharma Mittra is a modern yoga master and a Swami Kailashananda pupil. In 1975, the legendary Yogi Sri Dharma Mittra launched one of the city's oldest and most independent yoga schools. He has taught hundreds of thousands of pupils for more than half a century and invented more than 300 popular yoga poses and variations. He is known as the "Teacher's Teacher" and "The Stone of Yoga." The Master Yoga Chart of 908 Poses, ASANAS: 608 Yoga Poses, and the Maha Sadhana DVD series are all written by Sri Dharma Mittra. He continues to publicize yoga as a complete science through daily sessions, international seminars, and the Dharma Yoga Center's Life of a Yogi Teacher Certification programs.
Sri Dharma Mittra was one of the earliest independent yoga instructors on the East Coast, guiding hundreds of thousands of individuals down the road of Yogic practice and instruction. Sri Dharma began disseminating this knowledge long before yoga became famous, and he has always followed the ancient practice taught to him by his Guru and Swamis.
