The StarTalk podcast network links Science, pop culture, and comedy with clarity, humor, and enthusiasm. It covers fascinating issues like space travel, extraterrestrial life, the environment, the Science behind history's most legendary sports performances, and breaking news from the universe through their different programs. As their presenter, Neil deGrasse Tyson, puts it, "Anything under the sun; or rather, everything under the universe!" for an audience of "All the folks who had no idea how much they would like learning about space and science". Every week, comic co-hosts, celebrities, and other special guests join Tyson and their other program hosts.
StarTalk Radio, from Curved Light Productions, was the first widespread commercial radio program devoted to astronomy, physics, and everything else about life in the universe, now in its 11th season as a radio show and podcast. The show is hosted by renowned astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, the Director of the Hayden Planetarium at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. New episodes premiere every Monday at 7 pm ET.
In July 2016. StarTalk began airing our first spin-off, StarTalk All-Stars, featuring a revolving slate of all-star scientists and science educators, including Bill Nye the Science Guy, backed by your favorite comic co-hosts. StarTalk All-Stars is no longer in active production.
On February 1, 2017, we launched our second spin-off, StarTalk Playing with Science, presented by StarTalk and Stitcher. StarTalk Playing with Science teases out the Science behind some of the sport's most iconic moments to explore how and why the play happened. The show explored the seldom-considered marriageScienceence and sport. It was hosted by professional British soccer player and sports broadcaster Gary O'Reilly and Chuck Nice, who has been voted Favorite Co-Host by StarTalk fans two years in a row. Playing wScienceence was replaced by StarTalk Sports Edition in January 2020.
