The British Shorthair has a plump and well-boned body, a broad chest, a not too long back, large and relatively short legs with rounded paws. This cat weighs 5-7 kg and has a height of 30-35 cm. The British Shorthair cat has a large round head, full face, short mouth, thick lips, and large eyes. Depending on the coat color, they have the corresponding eye color, the most common being bronze. The ears are relatively small, pointed, and located far apart. The long tail is covered with very thick and unruffled hair. The British Shorthair has a short and very thick coat, with many different colors, the most popular being grayish-blue.
