The Peterbald
The Peterbald cat comes from Russia. In 1988, the first cat with a coat completely unlike other cats was discovered in the city of Rostov, called the Don Sphynx cat. Then they were exported to European countries for a short period. By 1994, the Oriental Shorthair was bred with Don Sphynx. The result was a new breed of cat called the Peterbald.
Peterbalds are elegant and graceful cats. Although, they appear to be hairless. Their bodies are soft and warm to the touch. They have a long, narrow wedge-shaped head with high cheekbones and almond-shaped eyes. Their ears are large, set straight and wide at the base. These cats are medium-sized with wrinkles all over the body, especially on the head, neck, tail, underbelly, and legs. Their bodies are long, thin, stocky, and muscular, with long legs and medium oval feet. Adult females weigh 6-8 pounds, while adult males weigh 8-10 pounds. Peterbalds have five different types of coat: long-short, thin-thick.
Peterbalds cats like to be alone when in a new environment. However, they will gradually adapt and get along. They are friendly and can play with children. In addition, Peterbalds cats are also very gentle with their owners. They love to be petted and played. Peterbalds is also intelligent.
