The Caran d’Ache “1010″ Fountain Pen
The Caran d’Ache “1010″ Fountain Pen is undoubtedly the most striking. Emmanuel Poiré, sometimes known as Caran D'Ache, was a 19th-century French Satirist and political cartoonist (the word karandash means pencil in Russian). As the forerunner of comic strips, he would subsequently inspire the name of the world-renowned Swiss company Caran D'Ache, which manufactures writing equipment.
Twenty-six lines of baguette-cut diamonds fall down the hood, one after the other. The stones alternate with each other in lines of diamonds set in the opposite direction to disclose the diamond's base as an added touch of fineness. The Caran D'Ache monogram is featured on the clock-shaped clip, and the fountain pen's body, which is similarly inspired by clocks, is set with 150 emerald-cut diamonds. The Caran D'Ache is more than an opulent writing instrument. It's a piece of jewelry, an investment, and, above all, a statement of elite status.
