The Godfather is a crime genre, about the Sicilian Corleone mafia family in the United States. Who takes the premier place of family, running the business of the whole family, is called "The Godfather", which is the nickname of the tycoon Don Vito - who built the Corleone empire. Author Mario Puzo made The Godfather a classic, when he wrote about the mafia but did not talk much about drugs, blood, and gambling, but focused on describing the plots, events of the family, how each member of the family improvising with difficulties. The Godfather was adapted into three films and can be confidently considered one of the best series of all time (American Film Institute ranked 2nd behind Citizen Kane), the film has earned 11 Academy Award nominations, bringing 3 Awards: Adapted screenplay, visuals and cast for Marlon Brando's performance as Don Vito Corleone. In addition, the film also won 5 Golden Globe Awards, a Grammy Award, and many other awards.
