The Great Gatsby tells the tragic story of Jay Gatsby, the independent millionaire, and his search for Daisy Buchanan, a well-off young lady whom he adored as a child. The novel has become so popular that a film of the same name has been made based on it. It is one of the best books to read when you are in your twenties.
