The University of Ibadan
The University of Ibadan (UI) continues to top the list of best universities in Nigeria. In addition, the rating is based on the results of the National University Commission's January 2022 ranking. The Institution of Ibadan (U.I.) is Nigeria's most prestigious university, with campuses in Ibadan and Oyo. It is a public research institute that began as a University of London affiliate in 1948, making it one of Nigeria's oldest organizations. It became an autonomous university in 1963, three years after Nigeria gained independence.
Bigard Seminary in Enugu State, Archbishop Vining College of Theology in Akure, St Augustine's College of Education in Akoka, Lagos, and others are among the university's affiliate institutions. The institution offers pre-degree courses as well as undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. Since then, the institution has grown to include 13 faculties and academic programs.
