Thornton-Donovan School
Thornton-Donovan School, located in New Rochelle, New York, is a private school that provides education from kindergarten to 12th grade. The school was established in 1901 by Judge Martin Jerome Keogh, with Emily Scott Thornton as the first headmistress. Emily Scott Thornton was originally from Philadelphia and studied at the University of Nottingham.

One notable program offered by the school is the Summer Challenge Program, which has been running for 46 years. This program is open to children aged 3 to 14 and provides a range of sports and activities such as tennis, softball, field hockey, swimming, arts and crafts, karate, dance, basketball, soccer, trampolining, capture the flag, watermelon, and kickball. The older group also enjoys weekly bowling outings.
In additon, Thornton-Donovan School takes pride in its college acceptance rate of 100% and its graduates' enrollment in prestigious institutions such as Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, MIT, Oxford, and Cambridge. The school has awarded its seniors with $2.15 million in college scholarships. The school's motto, "The World is Our Campus," reflects its global perspective, and its mascot is the Thunderbird. Douglas E. Fleming, Jr. has served as the headmaster since 1975.
