Toshiro Hitsugaya

Toshiro Hitsugaya is the captain of the Gotei 13's 10th Division. Rangiku Matsumoto is his assistant. He had been the 3rd Seat of the 10th Division under Isshin Shiba. Toshiro's ability as a Shinigami captain is undeniable despite his childish appearance. His battle prowess is excellent, and he ranks among the greatest in Bleach.

In contrast to his independent subordinate, Hitsugaya is normally mature and serious. Despite their personality differences, he and Rangiku appear to be quite close. She is willing to obey Hitsugaya's commands to the letter for vital duties on the field. Hitsugaya is also often annoyed when people act silly or bring unnecessary attention to themselves, such as when he leads a group of Shinigami into Ichigo Kurosaki's school.

Many of the other Shinigami in Soul Society and his opponents make jokes about Toshiro Hitsugaya, but he tolerates them and continues with his tasks. Although he occasionally feels angry by such jokes, he does not take action against anyone who offends him unless they are his rivals.

Hitsugaya's intellect and natural talent are maybe his most remarkable characteristics. He is the Soul Society's most gifted prodigy since Gin Ichimaru. He graduated in a single year with the highest written and performance scores in each of his classes, joined the Gotei 13 shortly after, and then became the youngest Shinigami ever to reach the rank of captain. No wonder he is one of the best male anime characters with white hair.
