Universidad Rural de Guatemala
Universidad Rural de Guatemala (Urural) is a private university that works to preserve natural resources while also promoting the dynamic development that communities require. The Rural University of Guatemala was established on March 28, 1995, by the Council of Private Higher Education. This marked the beginning of a new chapter in Guatemalan higher education, as a new university of Guatemalan society emerged, twenty-three years after the country's last university had been approved.
The University provides degrees that students can use to pursue careers that involve enhancing the environment and natural resources, such as agroecology, environmental engineering, environmental law, and renewable natural resource management. Urural also promotes social intermediation to achieve its overall goal of empowering rural and sustainable development in the country. The main campus is located at the heart of the capital of Guatemala - Guatemala City. Being among the well-known universities of Guatemala, Universidad Rural de Guatemala has no shortage of applicants. The library is available to all of the students. There are facilities in place that allow the students to participate in sports of their liking.
