University of Oxford
The University of Oxford is one of the joint research universities in Oxford, England. Although the date of Oxford's founding is unknown, there is evidence that teaching went on as far back as 1096. The University of Oxford is constantly ranked first in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings for 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021. Oxford University's distinguished alumni include 28 British Prime Ministers, at least 30 international leaders, 55 Nobel laureates and 120 Olympic medalists.
The University of Oxford is made up of various institutions, including 38 member universities and a range of academic faculties. All of these universities are self-administered institutions and part of Oxford. Each university controls its own admissions and has authority over its own internal organizational structure and activities.
Educational facilities at the University of Oxford are also equipped adequately for all levels of study. For example, at the central university there is a Bodleian Library, each faculty and department has its own library, such as the English Department Library, and at each member school, there is a multidisciplinary library.
