Vancouver Pride Parade

Vancouver Pride Parade ranks 5th on the list of Best Annual Events in Vancouver. The Vancouver Pride Parade honors the city's lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, two-spirited, and queer residents. The next Pride Parade will take place on August 2, 2020, and will travel from Robson Street to Denman Street before finishing on Beach Avenue. There are always a lot of lively costumes and colorful floats, which draw a lot of festival goers from all over Vancouver and beyond.

The Vancouver Pride Parade and Festival is an annual LGBT Pride celebration held in Vancouver, British Columbia, to honor lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people, as well as their allies. The Vancouver Pride Society (VPS) is in charge of it. The VPS is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization that aims to "produce inclusive, celebratory events and advocacy for LGBTQAI2S+." The Vancouver Pride Parade is Western Canada's largest parade of any kind.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic in British Columbia and a BC Provincial Health Officer order limiting mass gatherings to 50 people or less, 2020 Pride in-person events have been moved online. The festival has been dubbed #vanvirtualpride2020 by the Vancouver Pride Society, and it will culminate on August 2 with a virtual parade. A public art exhibition featuring works by local two-spirit, trans, and queer artists was also held.
