Vibrant Fiestas
The popularity of Spanish festivals is just one of its many notable qualities. Almost every town seems to have one (or more) yearly festivals that are all distinct. Even while several of Spain's festivities now resemble wild parties rather than holy rituals, many of them have religious roots.
The famous Pamplona Bull Run and La Tomatina (the town-wide tomato fight in Bunol) are already strange, and the celebrations there only get weirder from there. Spain is also known for its unique festivities. At La Tamborrada, people beat drums in the streets of Seville for a full day, the Haro Wine Festival features a massive wine fight, and at the Arizkun Festival, people line up to jump over bonfires. Las Fallas is a festival that fills Valencia with enormous statues of cultural icons that are then burned. Observing any one of Spain's festivals is a singular and unforgettable experience since festivals play a significant role in Spanish culture.
