West Fraser Timber Co. Ltd. is a Canadian forestry company situated in Vancouver, British Columbia, that manufactures lumber, LVL, MDF, OSB, plywood, pulp, newsprint, and wood chips. As one of the largest manufacturing companies in Canada, West Fraser is a member of the Forest Products Association of Canada.
West Fraser is a wood products company with over 60 locations in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Europe. The Company manufactures lumber, engineered wood (OSB, LVL, MDF, plywood, particleboard), and other goods such as pulp, newspaper, wood chips, and renewable energy using responsibly sourced and sustainably managed forest resources. West Fraser's goods are utilized in home construction, repair and remodeling, industrial uses, papers, tissue, and packaging materials, among other things.
West Fraser primarily sells lumber and Oriented Strand Board (or OSB). The lumber is constructed of spruce, pine, and fir (or SPF) and southern yellow pine (abbreviated SYP).
