World’s Tallest Bovine

Blosom, a 6'4" cow, holds the record for being the tallest cow ever according to Guinness World Records. The 2,000 lb cow was named as the new record holder in 2014, despite the fact that she is no longer living. Blosom, who had held the record for less than a year, passed away on a farm in northern Illinois on May 26. She died after suffering a leg injury.

Blosom made her home in Orangeville, Illinois, on a farm. Blosom was acquired by Patty Meads-Hanson when the cow was only eight weeks old. Patty liked nothing more than spending time with Blosom in the field and treated her like any other pet in the house. She served as the official "greeter" at Memory Lane Crafting Retreat, a retreat on the farm, throughout her life.
