The Jade Mountain Resort in St. Lucia, which overlooks the iconic Pitons, is a far cry from some of the all-inclusive mega-resorts found elsewhere in the Caribbean. It's also one of the most favorite boutique all-inclusive resorts in the world. Only 29 suites (dubbed "sanctuaries") are available at Jade Mountain, all with open walls and stunning sea views. Twenty-four of the sanctuaries have an infinity pool, and the remaining suites have a large bathtub large enough for two people.
Highlights of this adults-only resort include escorted walking and hiking tours, water sports such as windsurfing and sunfish sailing, and access to activities and facilities at Anse Chastanet, its nearby sister property. The open-plan restaurant serves a variety of breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. The resort also offers an all-inclusive package that includes meals and drinks. Jade Mountain Resort is one of the most romantic, splurge-worthy resorts in the Caribbean — and the entire world — and one of the most peaceful escapes you can book.

Curtain Bluff emphasizes its Caribbean setting – wild nightlife and modern luxuries are secondary – with only 72 rooms and suites nestled into a cove on Antigua's southern coast. Reviewers are quick to point out that this all-inclusive resort is not for the party crowd. The property provides an immersive vacation experience because the guest rooms do not have televisions. Instead, you'll have floor-to-ceiling windows with a view of the sea. Spend your days relaxing in the spa (for a fee), playing tennis, scuba diving, or napping on the beach.
Dine at The Tamarind Restaurant or The Seagrape in the evening, or savor a glass of wine from the resort's specialized cellar. Curtain Bluff may lack some of the comforts of home, but visitors find that the resort's other amenities outweigh those requirements. Stuccoed accommodations are filled with wicker furniture and overlook the beach. Dinner is served alfresco four nights a week at the Sea Grape restaurant.

The Round Hill Hotel and Villas, which opened in 1953 about 8 miles west of Montego Bay, Jamaica, has hosted celebrities such as Grace Kelly, Cole Porter, and Jackie Kennedy, among others. The hotel's 36 guest rooms feature white, pink, and blue decor, as well as four-poster beds and rain showers. The 27 villa suites at Round Hill feature open-air living rooms and verandas, as well as four to six bedrooms and cottage housekeepers (who will cook you breakfast for an additional fee). Private pools surrounded by lush foliage are also available in some villas.
Tennis, water sports, and spa treatments are just a few of the activities available at Round Hill for those who want to get out of their rooms. Following a day of fun in the sun, guests can dine at a restaurant run by James Beard Award-winning chef Martin Maginley or sip cocktails at one of three bars.

The resort's vibe is young and hip, but the Uvero Alto location in Punta Cana is more laid-back than the more central parts of this strip.
All rates include meals at 13 restaurants (including a taco truck, French fine dining, and a fresh juice bar), 24-hour room service, and access to activities such as snorkeling, yoga, and archery. The full-service spa has additional fees, but the ultra-luxe guided thermal suite experience is free, and there are also free personal training sessions at the gym.

The 37 suites at St. Lucia's adults-only Ladera Resort all have an open wall – like a patio, but without the door – facing the dramatic Pitons and the Caribbean Sea, prompting guests to appreciate their magnificent surroundings. (Although the lack of a fourth wall elevates luxury to new heights, don't be surprised if you end up sharing your room with a harmless lizard or two.) Private plunge pools (some with waterfalls and swings) are also available, as are minibars, pillow-top mattresses, and kits containing binoculars, star charts, slippers, and eye masks. Ladera is not directly on a beach because it is located on a ridge at 1,100 feet.
Ladera does, however, offer a complimentary shuttle service to Sugar Beach on the island's western side. Ladera also has a slew of fee-based activities available, ranging from a bartending class to a guided Saturday market tour to a sailing and snorkeling daytrip to Marigot Bay. Arrange for an outdoor massage at The Spa at Ladera to enjoy the mountains in a more relaxing setting. Previous visitors recommended that you try the field-to-fork eats at Dasheene, the resort's restaurant. All suite rates include daily breakfast; those who intend to eat mostly on-site for lunch and dinner can purchase a partial or all-inclusive meal plan.

Baoase Luxury Resort, a popular honeymoon destination, is located on the southwestern side of Curacao, less than a 9-mile drive southeast of the island's international airport. Recent guests raved about the attentive staff and the hotel's prime location on a secluded beach. With only 23 rooms, suites, and villas (as well as its own private island), it's easy to see how the resort manages to create an intimate atmosphere for guests. Aside from the five-star service, previous guests were pleased with their accommodations, particularly the beachfront suites with private infinity pools.
If you don't want to splurge on a suite, your room will still have a balcony or patio with views of the resort or the sea, as well as complimentary Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, a minibar, and a Sonos sound system, among other amenities. When you're not lounging in your room, visit the resort's infinity pool, relax in a chair on the beach, or book a spa treatment. The resort's restaurant, which serves French international cuisine with an Asian twist, is also located on the beach. Although reviewers said the food was delicious, they also said the prices were exorbitant. If you want an all-inclusive plan, the hotel has one as well.
