Jungle Gardens - Avery Island is around two hours outside the city but can transport you to another planet. The name Kiroli Park combines the first two letters of the Kiwanis, Rotary, and Lions clubs, who bought the property in 1925 to donate to the Boy Scouts of America as a camp. Kiroli Park has 150 acres of breathtaking natural scenery. Several playgrounds, a special conservatory, a dog park, tennis courts, several gardens, picnic spaces, fishing ponds, and hiking paths are all located inside the park. The majority of the park is covered in trees and is reachable via paved roads and paths that have unexpected features including a covered bridge, suspension bridge, observation tower, and high walkways.

The magnificent lodge at Kiroli Park is ideal for hosting sizable indoor gatherings. Two fireplaces, central heating and air conditioning, and a fully functional kitchen are just a few of the lodge's features. Le Petit Paris (Little Paris), also known as St. Martinville, was founded in the 1800s and is currently undergoing modernization while retaining its past and present.
