Jungle Gardens - Avery Island
Jungle Gardens - Avery Island is around two hours outside the city but can transport you to another planet. The Tabasco Factory offers several really entertaining tours, but when you go, make sure to see the Jungle Gardens. Edward Avery McIlhenny, a member of the McIlhenny family, designed these gardens. He was renowned for his love of birds, unusual flora, and stunning Chinese gardens, which include a sculpture of the Chinese Buddha from 1100 AD. It is in the little temple shown here.
Beautiful live oak trees in the prime of their lives can be found in the 170 acres of gardens; they are draped in Spanish moss and covered in resurrection ferns. With your family, enjoy strolling around the walkways while admiring the many different plants that can be seen here. There are several species that are especially lovely, such as wisteria, bamboo, and papyrus sedges. The azaleas are just stunning. One of Louisiana's most picturesque locations is this sanctuary for a variety of species, including river otters, black bears, and alligators, as well as other vegetation. Therefore, if you're seeking a fantastic park to visit, you could go to Jungle Gardens on Avery Island, which is close to New Iberia, Louisiana. A trip to this place is definitely one of the best day trips from Louisiana.
