    When Michelin officials start awarding stars in Miami in 2022, they should be considering this branch of a D.C. powerhouse that is a local favorite. Fiola in Miami has a staff that understands the ideal degree of attentive yet unobtrusive service, a wine list that rivals any, and cocktails that are crafted with real thought. All of it is great, but chef Danny Ganem, a native of Miami, also produces inventive and frequently flawlessly executed meals. An example of one of his creations is his served-upright lasagna with short rib and, if you can believe it, eel.

    Just keep Fiola in mind the next time your father or the boss offers to foot the tab since all this brilliance will set you back $100 per person, at the very least.

    husband and wife restaurateurs, relocate their acclaimed Michelin-starred restaurant from Washington, D.C., to Coral Gables. Think pillowy potato gnocchi swimming in a light heirloom-tomato sauce, wood-fired short Wagyu short rib, and a flaky branzino in broth with clams and artichokes. Fiola is known for its power-lunch crowd and huge bowls of delectable Italian dishes. Obviously fresh and cooked to perfection al dente, the pasta is nothing extraordinary. It's the kind of food you'd anticipate eating in Italy: simple dishes made with premium ingredients. Great service is something Fiola provides that you won't find in the majority of restaurants abroad. The attentiveness of the wait staff is evident.

Boia De, one of the Best Italian Restaurants in Miami you have to try, is located in a modest but adequate commercial complex that is bordered by a mom-and-pop grocery store and a laundromat on the outskirts of Little Haiti, an immigrant neighborhood on the cusp of significant transformation. Reservations are required because the retro-styled restaurant only has 24 seats.


    You may see Michelin-trained chefs Luciana Giangrandi and Alex Meyer working at the black-and-white terrazzo counter: The two walk rhythmically around one another as songs by Neil Young and Paul McCartney are played on the speakers. Meyer slices porchetta for a novel salumi-style beginning that is topped with sunchokes and matsutake mushrooms, and Giangrandi painstakingly assembles the absolutely superb beef tartare.


    Each dish is elevated a notch: the beef tartare, for instance, is topped with a crunchy shallot-garlic mixture and fried capers for a burst of briny flavor, and the whole thing is smothered in a delicious tonnato sauce, an Italian condiment made with tuna that binds everything together like a fancy picnic salad. The date would have only had one piece of the toast if it hadn't been for the two slices of buttered Sullivan Street Bakery bread that served as the assumed serving size.

Nobody is going to argue that Pubbelly Sushi's butter crab roll is genuine Japanese food, but after you've dipped it in drawn miso butter for the first time, you'll crave it every single day of your life.


    The menu at Casa Isola, a sibling establishment, is similar in that it combines classic Italian and Italian-American dishes as well as whatever new delectable dish the cooks behind this concept come up with tomorrow. José Mendn of Pubbelly and Santo Agnello, a former chef at Lucali, worked together to create the restaurant. They filled the menu with meals they enjoy cooking for their families at home.


    Grab a seat outside in the heart of the popular Sunset Harbour eating scene, which has quietly become the area's favorite.   6. The closest point to the Amalfi Coast without a passport is Sapore Di Mare. It's cramped, chaotic, and people are constantly rushing around passing out plates of fresh pasta, pouring wine, and moving tables to make room for impromptu gatherings. Did we mention that it's tiny and reservations are required? Make no mistake, the proprietors run a tight ship. The controlled mayhem is part of its appeal—the reason you think you're eating in a cozy, family-owned trattoria someplace along the Med instead on a busy major thoroughfare in Coconut Grove. Sapore, as its name suggests, specializes in seafood, with dishes like branzino carpaccio and fried calamari as standouts, but there are also plenty of veggie-based dishes and delicious pastas to choose from.


    From the outside, this adorable, family-run ristorante doesn't seem like much. However, inside, the tiny dining room is bustling with the sound of clinking glasses and quick-witted Italian servers taking orders and distributing enormous platters of fresh pasta. Sapore di Mare does the cheese-wheel recipe justice by sprinkling aged parmesan rounds of various sizes over each serving. Get it with truffles even if you don't think you want them. Truffle orders are never regretted.

Given how difficult it is to even obtain a table, how the bill will probably exceed your next vehicle payment, and the fact that everyone raves about it, you could go to Carbone with the expectation that you won't enjoy it. However, after beginning at the opulently furnished bar with a martini that is just short of exquisite and being shown to your seat by a wait staff that has perfected politeness, you realize this place truly is something exceptional. Big platters of ribs and peppers, linguine and mussels, and their signature dish—a spicy vodka sauce that adhered to wonderfully al dente rigatoni—are all equally delicious. Yes, this location is a scene, but all of a sudden you'll want to join in.


    One of the most renowned Italian eateries in the past ten years is Carbone, which was founded by Mario Carbone, Rich Torrisi, and Jeff Zalaznick. Most likely the best way to put it is as described by The New York Times: "It is a fancy red-sauce joint as directed by Quentin Tarantino, bringing back the punch-in-the-guts thrills of a genre that everyone else sees as uncultured and a little embarrassing, while exposing the sophistication that was always lurking there. A lot of other restaurants appear like sincere, uninspired drones in comparison to the restaurant's technological prowess and sense for pure fun.

    The companies Major Food Group is owned by Zalaznick, Torrisi, and Carbone. They are also the minds behind such well-known ideas as THE GRILL, Sadelle's, ZZ's Clam Bar, Parm, and Dirty French.

  8. An informal Italian pub well known for its seasonally inspired menu that fuses conventional cooking techniques with modern flavours. This off-the-beaten-path Italian restaurant is rustic and cozy, yet it's packed with residents trying to get away from the chaos of South Beach. Fortunately, they've discovered a location where they can do it where the relaxed atmosphere is completely authentic and the food is also excellent. Locally produced, creamy burrata cheese is served with pickled aubergines as antipasti. A compact pasta menu hits all the flavor cliches (the short rib lasagna is a customer favorite).


    Although Macchialina won't break the bank like other South Beach eateries, it doesn't hurt to save money when you can. Schedule a reservation for Thursdays when the majority of the homemade pasta meals are only $10 per dish, all night long. If you order seconds or thirds, we won't hold it against you.

  9. Spaghetti with tomato sauce, the dish that so many of us have come to associate with famous chef Scott Conant's eatery, has come to characterize it. It consists primarily of tomatoes and noodles, which you can easily prepare at home. However, it's also among the best renditions of it you'll ever have. The meal is a bit of an outlier on a menu that focuses more on rich foods like short rib agnolotti, ravioli stuffed with duck and foie gras, and Sicilian-style ceviche with lots of cream. The pomodoro pasta that you were brought is worth the trip to the far corner of the Fontainebleau on its own.


    Popular Italian eatery run by award-winning chef Scott Conant is still a great place to get traditional, homemade fare like his grandmother used to make. Save room for beginnings like the velvety polenta with fricassee of truffled mushrooms instead of giving in to the temptation to dig into the bread basket overflowing with stuffed buns and pillowy focaccia. However, if you only choose one dish from the menu, make it the restaurant's signature tomato-basil pasta. It's presented in a tidy, slurp-worthy mound and is delightfully al dente. Oh, and the leftover bread you mentioned? Utilize it to absorb the final bit of tomato sauce.

With its friendly staff and straightforward home cuisine, the neighborhood Italian eatery attracts customers from all over. You'll want to kiss the plate after eating the well-known fiocchi de pera, which are soft pockets of fresh pasta stuffed with pear and taleggio cheese.


    Since 2005, the family-owned restaurant has been nourishing the hearts and stomachs of diners in Downtown Miami. It has even gained the respect of customers from far outside the neighborhood, all the way up into the tri-county region. Since the restaurant's proprietors and cooks, twin brothers Roberto and Emanuele Bearzi, are from Milan, the food there is frequently compared to the authentic Italian cuisine found there. The extensive menu at Fratelli, which features dishes from almost all of Italy, is undoubtedly daunting. You can't go wrong if you choose the carpaccio di manzo and fiocchi de pera, soft pockets of fresh pasta stuffed with pear and taleggio cheese.
