Lake Volta is the largest artificial reservoir in the world based on surface area. This is definitely one of the best lakes to visit in Ghana. It includes Akosombo Dam, which produces a sizable portion of Ghana's electricity. Volta’s total size is 8,502 square kilometers (3,282+12 sq mi), all of which are located within Ghana.
