  1. Iceland is famous for its majestic nature with countless active volcanoes, large and small rivers, and beautiful bays. Despite the harsh cold climate, this place is compensated by a vibrant natural warm underground water system. Therefore, people often call this place "the land of ice and fire".

Visitors can not miss exploring the most famous hot spring that is Blue Lagoon - the most beautiful hot spring in the world. Blue Lagoon is in southwestern Iceland. It is located in a lava field near Grindavík and front of Mount Þorbjörn on the Reykjanes Peninsula, in a favorable location for geothermal energy, and is powered by water used in the nearby Svartsengi geothermal power plant. Only about 13 km from Keflavik International Airport. Tourists before coming to Blue Lagoon can slowly feel the wild and poetic beauty of a corner of Reykjanes along the way.

This place is known to be a part of a volcanic region, but in 1970, an accident at a nearby thermal power plant caused molten lava to flow into the river, turning the water a strangely beautiful jade-green color. Moreover, the temperature is warm, always ranging from 37 to 40 degrees Celsius thanks to the factory adjustment, which is highly suitable for a dip. That is why since then, Blue Lagoon has become a favorite resort destination. Although the geographical distance is far, it does not affect the number of tourists flocking here.

  2. The peaceful capital of Iceland is surrounded by the ocean, so the air is fresh, pleasant, and pollution-free. In addition, because it is relatively isolated, Reykjavík is quite peaceful. The restaurants and local eateries are diverse and hospitable, helping visitors come here to have many wonderful and rich experiences.

Although there are no unique or massive designs, the houses here are decorated with vibrant paint colors, which is also an extremely eye-catching point. They look even more prominent when surrounded by glaciers and volcanoes. Iceland is a country with a gulf current that flows through, making winter temperatures in the capital Reykjavik only a maximum of -15 degrees Celsius on the coldest day.

This is the place where the Northern Lights often appear with a high KP index. The conditions for viewing the aurora borealis in Iceland are also ideal due to the sparse population and low light pollution that makes it possible to see the Aurora Borealis even in the city at high intensity. The wind in Iceland is also among the third strongest in the world, so the clouds are always changing, making it easier to get clear skies than in the rest of the country. From late August to early April, visitors can go to Iceland to see the Northern Lights right in the middle of Reykjavík. This is an interesting activity not to be missed if you come to Reykjavík. “Aurora Hunting” is an unforgettable memory for anyone who has the opportunity to experience it.

  3. Dettifoss Waterfall is one of the most powerful waterfalls in Europe. This waterfall is considered the largest in Europe in terms of scale, with an average of 193 cubic meters of water falling within 1 second. The waterfall is 100 meters wide and drops 44 meters into the Jökulsárgljúfur canyon. The water on the waterfall is always white and foamy while the water in the river is a deep black color due to the deposited sediment. Standing on this, you can see the majestic and massive panorama and the rapid flow of the waterfall. The distance between the sky and the ground seemed to be shortened, immersing us in this unspoiled beauty.

The road to the top of the waterfall is quite bumpy because the road is mainly grassy soil, with many large undulating rocks. From the car park, you walk down a steep rocky trail, there are lots of vantage points as you get nearer to the waterfall for a photo. It’s possible to get right up to Dettifoss from the east side, while from the west side, the path takes you to the cliffs on the opposite side of the falls. The peak season of this famous attraction is summer so it is best to travel earlier or later.

  4. Hallgrímskirkja Church located in the center of Reykjavik is not only the tallest building in Iceland but also the most important church with a height of 74.5 meters. The unique shape of the church is said to have been inspired by lava when mixed with basalt. The church was started construction in 1945 and completed in 1986. Hallgrimskirkja's architectural style evokes the image of an Icelandic country with landscapes of rugged, massive rocks and icebergs and ideas of erupting lava. They are all highlights of the natural landscape conditions here.

Residents and visitors can enter the church daily to pray. This place is not only a memorial work but also a place to meet the spiritual needs of city residents. Hallgrímskirkja Church is an active church, but visitors are still welcome to tour the architecture from the inside and climb the tower for panoramic views of Reykjavik. • Skaftafell is considered to be the home of the Ice Masterpieces. Skaftafell is a beautiful nature reserve in southeast Iceland, filled with spectacular natural wonders. You will explore one of these wonders on a glacial estuary of the Vatnajökull glacier. You will be amazed at the magical beauty of the special ice cave near the glacial lagoon of Svínafellsjökull in Skaftafell, Iceland. Ice caves like these are a type of structure that often occurs in areas where glaciers exist.

This ice cave is nothing special from the outside, but when you step inside, you can see all its magical beauty. Ice caves are formed by thousands of years old ice sheets on the volcanic island of Oaefajokull, Iceland's highest volcano. The entrance to the cave is about 7m wide and higher than the cave, so the light can almost shine into the cave all day. The reflection of sunlight through the flats makes the scene extremely magical. However, not everyone has the opportunity to admire this beautiful ice cave. Vatnajökull Ice Caves are temporary structures that appear at the edge of glaciers and can collapse anytime. Exploration is only done in winter when low temperatures make the ice harder and safer. Winter is also the most beautiful time of the ice cave when the blue of the ice is best seen after a long period of autumn flows washing away the surface layer of the glacier. When visiting the cave, visitors can also hear the sound of ice cracking, creating the feeling that the cave is about to collapse. But that was just the shifting sound of the glacier.

      • Gullfoss or 'Golden Falls' is one of Iceland's most iconic and beloved waterfalls. It is located in the canyon of the Hvita River in southwestern Iceland. From Iceland's capital, it's only a two-hour drive to the waterfall. Visitors to Iceland prioritize stopping to visit and enjoy the natural scenery in Gullfoss.

When coming to Gullfoss, tourists can witness with their own eyes the majestic and wild waterfalls, showing extraordinary vitality, not being dominated, tamed or interfered with by human hands. Gullfoss consists of two waterfalls. The first, shorter waterfall is 11 meters (36 feet) high, while the second is 21 meters (69 feet) high. The canyon walls on both sides of the waterfall rise to 70 meters (230 feet), descending into the Gullfossgjúfur gorge. In summer, about 140 cubic meters (459 cubic feet) of water flows down the falls every second, while in winter, that number drops to about 109 cubic meters (358 cubic feet). Standing here, visitors will not be able to help but admire when witnessing the great intrinsic power of this waterfall.

As a popular sightseeing spot, Gullfoss almost always appears on tours in Iceland. In addition to enjoying the majestic nature of the waterfall, visitors can enjoy the scenery from Gullfoss Cafe - which was built to serve the needs of eating and resting while visiting. Local food and drinks make the culinary experience complete. There is also an on-site shop where visitors can view and purchase traditional Icelandic souvenirs.
