The Great British Bake Off (abbreviated to "Bake Off" or "GBBO") is a British television baking competition produced by Love Productions in which a group of amateur bakers competes in a series of rounds to impress two judges with their baking skills. In each round, one contestant is eliminated, and the winner is chosen from among those who advance to the final. The first episode aired on August 17, 2010, with the first four series broadcast on BBC Two until the BBC moved it to BBC One for the next three series due to its growing popularity. Love Productions signed a three-year deal with Channel 4 to produce the series after its seventh season.

The series has aired in other countries; in the United States and Canada, where "Bake-Off" is a Pillsbury trademark, it is known as The Great British Baking Show. Its format was sold globally for localization and served as the basis for two BBC Two shows, The Great British Sewing Bee and The Great Pottery Throw Down.

RuPaul's Drag Race is an American reality competition television series produced by World of Wonder for Logo TV (seasons 1–8), WOW Presents Plus, VH1 (seasons 9–14), and, starting with the fifteenth season, MTV. RuPaul's search for "America's next drag superstar" is documented in the show. RuPaul serves as host, mentor, and head judge for this series, in which contestants face new challenges each week. Contestants are judged by a panel consisting of RuPaul, Michelle Visage, an alternating third main judge from Carson Kressley, Ross Mathews, or Ts Madison, and one or more guest judges who critique their progress throughout the competition. Survivor is the American version of the international Survivor reality competition television franchise, which was inspired by Charlie Parsons' 1997 Swedish television series Expedition Robinson. The American series debuted on CBS on May 31, 2000. It is hosted by Jeff Probst, who also serves as an executive producer alongside Mark Burnett and the show's creator, Jim Parsons.

Survivor places a group of strangers in an isolated location where they must provide their own food, fire, and shelter. The contestants compete in challenges that test their physical abilities, such as running and swimming, as well as their mental abilities, such as puzzles and endurance challenges, for rewards and immunity from elimination. The contestants are gradually eliminated from the game as they are voted out by their fellow contestants, until only one remains and is awarded the grand prize of US$1,000,000 ($2,000,000 in Winners at War).

The American adaptation has been a huge success. From 2000-01 to 2005-06, its first eleven seasons (competitions) were among the top ten most-watched shows on television. It is widely regarded as the pioneer of American reality television because it was the first highly-rated and profitable reality show to air on broadcast television in the United States, and it is regarded as one of the best reality TV shows of all time.

Chopped is an American reality cooking game show created by Michael Krupat, Dave Noll, and Linda Lea. Ted Allen is the host. The series pits four chefs against each other in a competition for a $10,000 prize. The show premiered in 2009 and airs every Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET on the Food Network.

Chopped Sweets, a dessert-themed spin-off, premiered on February 3, 2020, with Scott Conant as the host. In each episode, four chefs compete in a three-round competition, attempting to incorporate unusual ingredient combinations into dishes that are later judged by a panel of three judges. The chefs are each given a basket containing four mystery ingredients at the start of each round (typically "Appetizer," "Entrée," and "Dessert," but with occasional exceptions) and are expected to create dishes that use all of them in some way. Although failure to use an ingredient does not result in automatic disqualification, judges do consider such omissions when making their decisions.

The ingredients are not frequently prepared together. In the episode "Yucca, Watermelon, Tortillas," for example, the Appetizer ingredients included watermelon, canned sardines, pepper jack cheese, and zucchini. Each chef has his or her own station for preparing and cooking food, as well as unlimited access to a pantry and refrigerator stocked with a wide variety of other ingredients. A deep fryer, a blast chiller, and an ice cream machine are among the specialized tools and equipment available to the chefs in the kitchen.

Project Runway is a Bravo reality television series that debuted on December 1, 2004. The series is about fashion design. The contestants compete to create the best clothes while being limited by time, materials, and theme. Each week, one or more designers are eliminated from the show after their designs are judged by a panel. During each season, contestants are gradually eliminated until only a few remain. These finalists create full-fledged fashion shows for New York Fashion Week. The winner is decided by the judges after the runway shows. Eli Holzman created Project Runway, which Heidi Klum hosted from 2004 to 2017. It has had a varied airing history, with Bravo originating the first five seasons and Lifetime airing the remaining eleven.

The show returned to Bravo in 2018, following the bankruptcy of Klum, and the designers' mentor Tim Gunn both left the show in 2018 to helm another fashion competition show, Making the Cut on Amazon Video. American model Karlie Kloss took over as host after Klum, with season four winner Christian Siriano taking over as mentor. The show was awarded a Peabody Award in 2008 for "using the 'television reality contest' genre to engage, inform, enlighten, and entertain." The Circle (sometimes referred to as The Circle US) to distinguish it from other international versions) is an American reality competition series created by Studio Lambert and Motion Content Group that premiered on Netflix in January 2020? It is based on the British television series of the same name. In addition to the American version of The Circle, Netflix released versions in France and Brazil as part of a partnership between Netflix and All3Media. The series bills itself as a social media game, with the idea that "anyone can be anyone in The Circle." They can only communicate virtually through a social media device known as... well...The Circle.

To win $100,000, contestants must first gain their opponents' trust and approval and become the highest-rated player. As each player attempts to ascend to the top, alliances form. The only catch is that the participants are not required to portray themselves truthfully. They can catfish and lie their way to the top of the rankings and, eventually, $100,000. Its format has been compared to Big Brother and Catfish as well as the Black Mirror episode "Nosedive" with the rating concept. In August 2021, the series was renewed for a fourth and fifth season, the fourth season began on May 4, 2022, and ended on May 25, 2022. The Circle Singles, the fifth season, premiered on December 28, 2022.

What would you do? (abbreviated WWYD) is an American situational hidden camera television series that has aired on the American Broadcasting Company (ABC) since February 26, 2008. The show, created by Chris Whipple, follows the reactions of passing strangers as they encounter conflict or illegal activity in a public setting, unaware that it is all staged and being recorded with hidden cameras. The show has been hosted by news correspondent John Quinones for all sixteen seasons.

What Would You Do?, which aired on ABC's Primetime from 2005 to 2007, was an instant hit for the network. ABC ordered the first season of the show after the writers' strike in 2007. The series was renewed for a second, third, fourth, and fifth season each year. Beginning with the sixth season, the show began to include guest stars such as Barbara Corcoran, Howie Mandel, and Meredith Vieira. In the eighth season, What Would You Do? aired its first Christmas special, following the seventh season. This was followed by guest appearances by Daymond John and Pnina Tornai in the ninth season, Winnie Harlow in the tenth season, and an absence of guests in the eleventh and twelfth seasons.

Are You the One? (also known as AYTO?) is an American reality television series in which a group of men and women are secretly paired into couples using a matchmaking algorithm. The contestants try to identify all of these "perfect matches" while living together. If they are successful, the entire group will receive a prize of up to $1 million. In the first seven seasons, all couples were male-female, but in the eighth season, a contestant's match could be anyone.

Throughout each season, the contestants go on dates with partners chosen by competitions (or, in the seventh season only, by the "fate button"), and have the opportunity to learn in the "truth booth" whether a given couple is a good match. When the truth booth confirms a perfect match, the couple goes to the honeymoon suite and is automatically paired up for the rest of the match ceremonies. The contestants are paired up in a "matching ceremony" at the end of each episode and learn how many perfect matches they have, but not which matches are correct. From season 3 onwards, the prize was reduced whenever the house failed to identify any matches other than those that had already been confirmed via the system.

90 Day Fiance is a TLC reality television series that follows couples who have applied for or received a K-1 visa, which is only available to foreign fiancés of US citizens, and thus have 90 days to marry. The show premiered on January 12, 2014, and has lasted nine seasons. The series has eighteen spin-offs, including 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After, which follows past 90 Day Fiancé couples after their marriage; 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, which follows couples who met online but have not yet started the K-1 visa process; and 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, which follows couples who met online but have not yet started the K-1 visa process. TLC parent company Warner Bros. Discovery and others refer to the original series and its spinoffs as the "90 Day Fiancé Universe" or simply the "90 Day Universe."

The show is based on the K-1 visa application process. This visa allows a foreign fiancé to visit the United States and live with his or her prospective American spouse. The Voice is a singing reality competition television show that airs on NBC. It debuted on April 26, 2011, during the spring television season. It has aired for twenty-two seasons and is based on the original The Voice of Holland. It aims to find unsigned singing talent (solo or duets, professional and amateur) contested by aspiring singers, age 13 or older, drawn from public auditions.

Television viewers vote by phone, internet, SMS text, and iTunes Store purchases of the audio-recorded artists' vocal performances to determine the winner. Come Dine with Me is a British reality television series narrated by Dave Lamb that has aired on Channel 4 since January 10, 2005. There are 45 series as of July 2020. Over the course of 45 seasons, you can witness some of the worst cooking ever, adults having toddler-like meltdowns over losing, and even an adult man deep-throwing a whisk... Yes, indeed. Why would they subject themselves to this? They're all competing for the chance to win £1000, in addition to providing us with some of the most iconic TV moments of all time. The show features five amateur chefs who live in the same town or area and each host a three-course dinner party at their own home for the other contestants. During the taxi ride home, each competitor rates the host's food and hosting skills, with the highest-scoring chef winning £1,000 in cash. The show frequently features guests with opposing personalities.

The episodes featuring the same group of chef contestants air in order. Rather than five chefs, the early series featured groups of four. Dave Lamb provides narration, which occasionally includes sarcastic comments about the chefs' food and the interior design.

Love Is Blind is a three-week dating reality television series created by Chris Coelen and produced by Kinetic Content that premiered on Netflix on February 13, 2020. The show is based on a social experiment in which single men and women look for love and get engaged before ever meeting in person. On March 24, 2022, Netflix renewed "Love Is Blind" for a fourth and fifth season. The fourth season of "Love is Blind" will premiere on March 24, 2023.

The series follows fifteen men and fifteen women from the same metropolitan area who are all looking for love. For ten days, the men and women date each other in specially designed "pods," where they can communicate through a speaker but cannot see each other. They are paired in a speed-dating format at first but can later opt for longer dates. When the daters are ready, they may extend a marriage proposal. A couple meets face-to-face only after accepting a marriage proposal. The engaged couples then travel to a resort for a couples' retreat. On this trip, they spend time getting to know their partners and have their first opportunity to be physically intimate. They also meet the other couples who are taking part.

Following the retreat, the engaged couples relocate to the same apartment complex in the city where they currently reside. They meet their partners' friends and families at the apartments and learn more about their partners' lives, delving into topics such as finances, recreation, personal habits, and their ultimate primary residence. They also intend to hold weddings at the end of four weeks. During the wedding planning period, a group of women goes wedding dress shopping and a group of men goes suit shopping, each with a few friends and/or family members. They also get to pick the design and flavor of their wedding cake. Each participant decides whether or not to say "I do" at the altar.

Big Brother is an American television reality competition show based on the original Dutch reality show of the same name, which debuted in 1997 and was created by producer John de Mol. The character in George Orwell's 1949 novel Nineteen Eighty-Four inspired the title of the series. The American series premiered on CBS on July 5, 2000, and is currently the second longest-running adaptation in the Big Brother franchise, following the Spanish version.

The show broadly follows the premise of other versions of the format, in which a group of contestants known as "HouseGuests" live together in a specially constructed house that is isolated from the outside world for a cash prize of $500,000 (or $750,000 beginning with the 23rd season). During their stay in the house, the houseguests are constantly monitored by live television cameras and personal audio microphones. Houseguests are evicted from the house by being voted out of the competition throughout the competition. Ratings dropped and critical reaction grew increasingly negative during the first season (which followed the original Dutch format), prompting the series to be revamped for the second season, which focused on competition and gameplay.

The series' twenty-fourth season premiered on July 6, 2022. CBS renewed the series for a twenty-fifth season on September 25, 2022. Big Brother: Over the Top, which aired for one season and was the first reality game show to air exclusively on a streaming platform, premiered in the fall of 2016 on CBS' streaming service, CBS All Access (now Paramount+), followed by Celebrity Big Brother, which premiered on CBS in February 2018.

This is the true story of seven strangers who were chosen to live in a loft and have their lives taped in order to discover what happens when people stop being polite and start getting real. The surprising thing at the time of its premiere in the summer of 1992 was that it was just people living on tape. When it's time for their confessional interview, they're talking, fighting, and laughing, and they never know where to look. (From today's perspective, the idea that anyone would have started being polite is shocking.)

If you go back to the first season, you'll think you're watching a thought-provoking documentary. Scenes go on for a long time, relationships develop, and the seven strangers discuss serious issues—racism, privilege, and the closet—in an earnest and thoughtful manner. Those first seven housemates may have been the last seven guileless people in America; from season two on (and in every reality show since), participants arrive knowing exactly who they're playing. This show set the tone, and it's easy to forget that its heart was in the right place at the start.

Nowadays, cast members' parents have never known a world without The Real World, the show exists primarily as a triple-A league for The Challenge, and housemates make their initial entrances through a hot tub drain if I'm not mistaken. But for a brief moment, it was real and spectacular David Holmes

The Real Housewives of Orange County is an American reality television franchise that premiered on March 21, 2006. Each installment of the franchise follows the personal and professional lives of a group of well-to-do women who live in or near a specific city or geographic region. There have been 11 different series produced in the United States, with another 21 international adaptations. (However, one US production, The Real Housewives of Dubai, is set outside of the United States.) The American series is mostly broadcast on Bravo, with one episode airing on Peacock. The Real Housewives of Athens, the first international adaptation, premiered on March 4, 2011. The Real Housewives of Cheshire, which has aired for 15 seasons, is the longest-running international adaptation.

The American franchise has spawned 27 spin-off series, the most successful of which, Vanderpump Rules, has spawned a number of spin-offs. On May 1, 2005, The Real Housewives was first announced as one of six reality television shows ordered by the American television network Bravo. Too Hot to Handle is an American-British reality television dating game show produced by Fremantle Entertainment production companies Talkback and Thames. The eight-episode first season of the show, created by Laura Gibson and Charlie Bennett, was released on Netflix on April 17, 2020. The show, hosted by a virtual assistant named "Lana," revolves around 10 adults who are all primarily engaged in meaningless flings and are unable to form long-lasting relationships. They are placed in a house for four weeks and must go through various workshops, all while being forbidden from any kissing, sexual contact, or self-gratification, with the monetary prize decreasing every time a rule is broken.

The series was renewed for two more seasons in January 2021, both of which were shot back-to-back on the Turks and Caicos Islands during the COVID-19 pandemic. The first half of the second season will be released on June 23, 2021, with the second half following the following week on June 30, 2021. On January 19, 2022, the third season was released. On December 7, 2022, the fourth season premiered. The series was renewed for a fifth season in January 2023.
