  1. No list would be complete without mentioning Europe's most well-known geothermal pool. This beautiful turquoise lake, emerging from craggy lava fields 30 minutes from Reykjavik, might easily be mistaken for an unusual Icelandic natural setting - but it's really a man-made complex fed by mineral-rich water recycled by the neighboring Svartsengi geothermal power station. Guests may apply their own face masks using tubs of white, silica-rich geothermal mud. National Geographic named it one of the 25 Wonders of the World in 2012. Everywhere the eye looks, there is a sense of amazement.

The Blue Lagoon is a geothermal spa near Grindavik, Iceland's southwest. The Blue Lagoon, located between Keflavik Airport and the city of Reykjavik, is an ideal stop on the way in or out of Iceland. The lagoon, contrary to popular assumption, is man-made. Because of its high silica content, discharged water from the Svartsengi geothermal power station was unable to soak through the lava. Because of the way silica reflects sunlight, the lagoon exhibits a milky blue color. The Blue Lagoon is becoming one of Iceland's most popular tourist attractions.

Blue Lagoons silica cleanses and strengthens your skin, leaving it looking clean, pure, and beautiful. The algae in the Blue Lagoon are extremely active. It hydrates, nourishes, and renews your skin. The mineral blend provides revitalizing benefits on your mind and body, exfoliating your skin and promoting circulation.

  2. Pamukkale, which translates as "cotton castle" in Turkish, is a natural feature in the Turkish province of Denizli in southern Turkey. The region is well-known for a carbonate mineral formed by the passage of thermal spring water. It is situated in Turkey's Inner Aegean area, in the valley of the river Menderes, which enjoys a moderate climate for most of the year. The ancient Greek city of Hierapolis was built on top of a travertine formation that is approximately 2,700 meters long, 600 meters broad, and 160 meters high. It may be viewed from the hills on the opposite side of the valley at Denizli, which is 20 kilometers distant. This region has drawn travelers to its hot springs since classical antiquity.

The Turkish name relates to the sparkling, snow-white limestone surface, which has been formed over millennia by calcite-rich springs. Mineral-rich fluids drip gently down the slope, collecting in and cascading down the mineral terraces into pools below. Along with Hierapolis, it was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988. It is situated in Turkey's Inner Aegean area, in the valley of the river Menderes, which enjoys a moderate climate for most of the year. Tourism is and has always been a significant sector. For thousands of years, people have bathed in its waters.

  4. Hévíz Lake is located in Hungary, on the western edge of Lake Balaton, about 8 kilometers from Keszthely. With a surface area of 47,500 square meters, it is Europe's largest thermal lake and the world's second largest thermal lake. Hot waters of varying temperatures disseminate from cracks beneath the surface of the water, mixing with the cold water of the lake to form a consistent temperature that remains constant throughout the season. The water contains carbonic acid, sulphur, calcium, magnesium, hydrogen carbonate, and even slightly radioactive compounds that are thought to be therapeutic.

At the middle of the lake is a wooden bath house built in the 18th century that appears almost exactly the same as it did more than two centuries ago. Beautiful water lilies, introduced to Hungary at the end of the nineteenth century, dot the lake, adding to the diverse ecosystem. Mist covers the top, reducing evaporation, while creepers preserve the therapeutic mud at the lake's bottom. The peat-bottomed lake is nourished by mineral-rich cold and warm water that originates in springs located in a 40-meter-deep cave. The spring's flow is so strong that it totally replenishes the lake every three days. The temperature of the lake varies between 23-25 °C in winter and 33-36 °C in summer. The healing effect of the lake is said to be due to the lake's unique combination of organic and inorganic components. Lake Heviz is a dynamically active lake with a diverse bacterial population. Some of the species present in the lake's waters are unique to it.

For an outstanding architect has constructed a spa resort there, made of pure stone, greenish in hue, and weighing tons. By the way, the 7132 Therme in Vals is also a healing temple.

It was created in conjunction with the mountain and the surrounding terrain, layering stone atop stone and presenting spectacular light effects: the green 7132 Therme Vals.
