  1. Saadiyat Public Beach is a sight to behold. Not only is this one of Abu Dhabi's best public stretches of sand, but the sheer beauty of its surroundings easily surpasses that of private beach clubs. Saadiyat Public Beach is located on Saadiyat Island's northern shore, directly east of the Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas.

Although the beach access fee is more than at other public beach sites in the city, beachgoers here find Saadiyat's wide length of soft, white sand and facilities to be well worth the extra expense. With lots of sun loungers with shades to rent, well-kept changing areas, a lifeguard on duty until sunset, and an on-site café serving drinks and meals, the facilities are kept in excellent condition. Food and beverages from outside are allowed to be brought in as an added bonus for those on a budget, thus many beachgoers bring a picnic if going for the day.

  2. Nurai Island is located in the Arabian Gulf's turquoise seas, east of the Abu Dhabi coastline. This beautiful, isolated island is conveniently accessible from all main transport ports in the UAE and is only a 15-minute boat trip from the coasts of Abu Dhabi and a 60-minute journey from Downtown Dubai.

The beach here is a beautiful long curve of white sand lapped by crystal clear, light turquoise waters, similar to those found in the Maldives' Indian Ocean beach hot spots. Water sports such as kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and snorkeling equipment rental are offered for the more active, but most people come to relax VIP-style with full facilities at their fingertips. Day passes to this slice of beach paradise are pricey, but a portion of the cost may be used to pay for meals at the resort restaurants, treatments at the oceanfront spa, or other extra activities like water sports. The day pass includes roundtrip boat rides from the resort's port on Saadiyat Island, as well as an entrance to the resort's pool and beach.

  3. Yas Beach is the most popular beach club in Abu Dhabi. It is a stunning, tranquil contrast to the island's other attractions, being an idyllically calm getaway, with white sands, crystal blue seas, and natural mangrove surrounds.

This length of compacted white sand, located at the southern end of Yas Island's western side, offers a lively and youthful beach scene that also caters well to families. You've come to the perfect location if you're looking for a lot of amenities. Yas Beach offers endless entertainment, from mangrove expeditions to adrenaline-pumping sports. A swimming pool and separate pool area for small ones, cafés and food kiosks for snacks and lunch, and water sports offices where you can rent kayaks and Jet Skis are all located behind a beachfront teeming with sun loungers and cabanas framed by blousy curtains. Entrance to the beach costs AED 50 for adults and AED 25 for children aged 8-16 during the week, and AED 100 for adults and AED 50 for children on weekends if you are not staying in a Yas Island hotel. Children under the age of eight are admitted for free. Ladies get half-price on Saturday.

  4. The soft, powdery white sand that runs east from Saadiyat Public Beach and along the island's northern shore is the exclusive domain of Saadiyat Beach Club. This is the place to go for a relaxing day on the beach, while some guests go directly to the infinity pool to book one of the chic poolside cabanas. It's a good idea to reserve a cabana ahead of time if you want one because they're quite popular.

There's also an excellent restaurant for all your snacking and eating requirements, as well as a spa with a sauna, Jacuzzi, and a variety of pampering treatments, as well as a gym with workout classes. There are frequent live DJ music events on the weekends. The grassy dune area backing the beach, like Saadiyat Public Beach, is a protected natural reserve and home to hawksbill turtle nesting sites. You can enjoy the sunset views of Abu Dhabi's central skyline in the distance.

  5. Many of Abu Dhabi's resorts and major hotels also serve as beach clubs, with daily access to their beach amenities available. One of the greatest discounts is the Radisson Blu Hotel & Resort, which is located on the western end of the Abu Dhabi Corniche.

The white sand beach is bordered by date palms and is backed by a landscaped area with pools, restaurants, and cafés. Featuring a pool area with waterslides specifically for kids, an on-duty lifeguard, plus kayak rental and other water sports on offer for active teens, this is an excellent choice for families looking for a relaxing day at the beach. If you want to relax after soaking up the sun and going for a swim, the on-site spa offers a wide selection of beauty treatments and massages.

  6. This beautiful beach, located west of Abu Dhabi, overlooks Hudayriat Island and its bridge, and offers clear, quiet water ideal for fishing, swimming, and waterfront picnics. The beach here is a slice of excellently maintained golden-toned sand with views of Hudariyat Bridge and Hudariyat Island beyond.

The beach, which was awarded the renowned Blue Flag sustainability award by the Emirates Wildlife Authority, has 800 meters of beautiful shoreline and is ideal for beach volleyball or watersports activities such as kayaking, paddling, and more from the beach's watersports center. Clean facilities and showers are available, as are sun loungers with sunshades for rent and a few cafés serving cold drinks and snacks. If you wish to go exploring, you may rent kayaks on the beach. But this lively and family-friendly public beach may become a bit congested on weekends as local families gather here to dine and play.

  7. The Nation Riviera Beach Club (attached to The St. Regis Abu Dhabi) is directly on the Corniche and is perhaps one of Abu Dhabi's most well-known beach clubs. Locals love it for its year-round beach club memberships, but it also has day access for casual tourists.

The beachfront here is 200 meters long, with a restaurant and a large pool area with Jacuzzis and lots of sunbathing space nestled within immaculately kept gardens just behind the shore. There is a separate children's swimming pool, as well as both outdoor and indoor play areas, for families with little children who tire of splashing around in the sea. The Treasure Island children's club, with its pirate-ship-shaped play area, in particular, offers a variety of activities. Passes to the beach club also give access to the hotel's fully equipped gym on the third level, as well as the adjacent terrace pool.

  8. The Beach Rotana Club (in the Beach Rotana Abu Dhabi) at Al Zahiyah on Abu Dhabi Island may only have a small stretch of beachfront, but the enormous garden area behind it compensates for its lack of sand with a multitude of amenities.

A large swimming pool is located in the garden area, and lots of sun lounges with sunshades are spread around the surrounding lawn backing the beach. In the garden area, there are several restaurants and cafés that cater to all eating needs, from light snacks to fine dining. There is a great scuba diving operator here, as well as kayaks to rent for water sports enthusiasts. The views from the beach and garden, which face right over the water to the dazzling constructions of Al Maryah Island, are another perk of day admission to this beach club. It's especially spectacular in the early evening when the sun sets and the buildings glow golden.

  9. Corniche Beach is one of the key tourist destinations in Abu Dhabi. This beautiful beach not only features turquoise water and soft, white sand, but it also has a lovely seaside boardwalk with well-kept walkways, manicured gardens, and benches overlooking the Arabian Gulf

Along the length of the road, there are a couple of different sections and access locations. Corniche Beach has more compacted sand than some other city beaches, but it is still clean and well-kept. The major part of the beach is free to enter. There are also separate sections for families and female groups with a modest admission cost. These are a more peaceful choice than the free beach, which may become a little rowdy during peak months with football and volleyball matches. The sea is shallow at the water's edge, and lifeguards are on duty until sunset, so it's an excellent, safe option for kids who want to splash about.

  10. Fairmont Bab Al Bahr boasts a prime location at the mainland gateway to the cosmopolitan city of Abu Dhabi. The Fairmont Bab Al Bahr hotel's gorgeous white-sand beach is ideal for a relaxing day of sunbathing and swimming.

There are all the amenities you'd expect from a resort-run beach. Alternatives to splashing in the sea include the swimming pool area, which has a separate children's pool and play area. If you're looking for something to do after a few hours of sunbathing, you may rent SUPs and kayaks on the beach. Dining options on the resort grounds include anything from sushi to a steakhouse. Beach day permits are usually slightly cheaper here than at other five-star Abu Dhabi resorts, and children under the age of 12 are admitted free.
